My Favorite Top 3 Skincare Ingredients.....And how they can benefit you!

Trying to transition from chemical-laden to natural, I mean REALLY natural, skincare products can be a real challenge. Trust me I know, I’ve been there.

There is so much to learn when you first start changing your skincare routine. It can be a challenge to know which ingredients really are natural or just labeled that way for marketing purposes.  If you’re like me, you may have some questions and want answers on how to make sure what you are putting on your skin is going to help solve your skin appearance issues.

Today I am sharing with you my top 3 favorite ingredients and why I think they could be wonderful additions to your current skincare routine. 

1. Colloidal Oatmeal

Out of all of the ingredients I use...Colloidal Oatmeal is my absolute favorite, which is why it is added to just about every product I make. Colloidal Oatmeal is not the stuff you eat for breakfast, but rather finely milled organic rolled oats that are designed to be easily dispersed in water. This wonderful ingredient is well known to address skin issues such as eczema and other skin conditions that cause dry, itchy, scaley, and irritable skin issues. Who would have thought that oats contain unique plant chemicals that soothe inflamed, itchy, and troubled skin?!

2. Cocoa Butter 


I absolutely LOVE the smell and benefits of organic cocoa butter. Not only is the smell delightful but the benefits of it to the skin are astounding. Not only does this delectable edible superfood taste wonderful, when used consistently it will improve your skin's appearance and have been reported to possess anti-aging properties. 

3. Avocado

They don't call this green beauty a superfood for nothing! Packed with antioxidants, over twenty (yes 2-0) vitamins and minerals avocados are not only beneficial when eaten, but they are also beneficial to the skin. Interestingly enough, did you know that the bulk of the benefits from this green temperamental orb are found in its seed! We used this superfood when crafting several of our products and absolutely love how they are so beneficial to those who struggle with dry skin.
